Friday evening i completed the detailed portrait and action shot of Stan the Man for the Bevil issue
documenting the passing of the greatly-loved Stan Musial of the Saint Louis Cardinals.
This will be an issue of 150 in the main lot, 35 artist's proofs, along with 1 AFDCS auction variety.
Notice the variation in the shadow on the face of these two. On the middle painted cachet the light is hitting the left side of his face. On the lower cachet the sunlight is actually coming from directly above, causing the light to hit both outside edges of his face. I'll probably use the top version on most of the cachets, with a few receiving the other. Some might get the green background, which picks up the green on the Gehrig stamp.
